rFactor has been out for years now. rFactor 2 had to come eventually, ISI could not continue supplying free updates like they have been doing. Mods are not regulated by ISI, so you could not make them unavailable. Whether rFactorCentral stays up as a database for rFactor mods however is up to Pete, the webmaster.
rFactor 2 probably isn't due till late this year at the earliest anyway. So you have plenty of time to enjoy rFactor.

So it will probably not be too hard for a mod team to adapt there work to rFactor 2s standards. Whether or not this is a good thing is up to you to decide.
