NZ choice between Bamber and Reid?
You would think that after investing in the future by putting quick but inexperienced Bamber in the car that they would want to reap the rewards, I guess however they would want to be sure that he will cut the number of incidents he is involved in:

So, presuming this whole thing does go ahead for season 5, who do we have racing
- Australia
- Netherlands
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- Ireland
- New Zealand?
- Brazil?
- India?
- Great Britain?
- France?
- Germany?
- Pakistan?
- Lebanon?
We seem to have only heard anything coming from the first 5, some from India and New Zealand that seems to be a little positive, but start silence from the rest - can anyone else shed any light?

I think you can count on A1 Team China competing. Mr. Liu, the franchise holder, is also a shareholder in Tony Texeira's company Energem. He finances the team using profits from the company.

China are definitely still around, expect Ho Pin Tung to be lead driver again this season.

I dont think anyone can 'count' any country 'in' until the cars are able to be 'released' from where ever they are!
Have it on good authority that no one has cars, and with 2 months work to get them on the track, there is going to be alot of midnight oil burning between now and then!

Then who does have the cars if the teams don't?

Who has the (majority) of the cars?
One of the creditors apparently, possibly the company that freighted all the stuff around the world.
As ever, we await A1GP pulling half the rabbit out the hat with just enough time before the next race.

That would explain why there has not been a pre season test or even an announcement of one.
Why would it take two months to get the cars back on track? It is not as if they are new.
Count on China being back assuming there is a series then.

I have seen a release on one of the A1 sites to say there won't be any tests before the season but, presuming A1 will race at the Gold Coast, there will be 3 or 4 (or something like that) hours of track time on the Thursday.

I've moved Armco Bender's post re: Hampton Downs to the calender thread.

Kiwi, do you know what this means?
It's the message on A1 Team China's site.

I am still learning characters but it seems to mean the website gave no response.
This does not mean anything, I know through personal contacts that A1 Team China are active and have plans with Ho Pin Tung as lead driver for this season and for a future China street race (although not this season).
