The Fat Clerk should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mallory Historic Festival - June 24th

Wow, what a Test Session that was, best one of the year so far, mind you with it being red hot, sunny and not a cloud in the sky it couldn't fail.
As ever the Tin Tops were out first but unusually they were outnumbered by the Single Seaters. There was a couple of Chevrons, an Elva, a Cooper Monaco, a Piper GT and a Merlyn heading the more recent MR2, Capri, XR3I, Peugot 106 and a black Bentley badged creation that looked like a Clubmans on Steroids. Star turn and by far and away the fastest car out in all 3 of it's sessions was a Gitanes / Eccurie Filipinetti liveried Lola.
The Single Seaters had 5 F1 & 1 F2 car out blazing around.
Fastest was probably the F2 Toleman March 782, chased by Simon Hadfield in a 1969 Tyrell Matra, a Durex Surtees, a Warsteiner Arrows and 2 Coopers driven by Sid Hoole and Scotty Taylor.
Other cars out were 3 F.Vees, 7 F.Ford 1600's including Peter Daly and the lovely Lorna. An Elva F.Junior, a Delta and Reynard F.Ford 2000, a Mallock Clubmans and a Shrike Sports 2000.
The morning was nicely rounded off by ex circuit boss Ron Overend, coming into Race Control for a long chat.
As ever I took pictures but Paypal is still being difficult, I will post them on here asap.
