New Motorsport Radio Show?
On the way home from Sandown yesterday, Triple M advertised a new radio show on their network (or at least in Melbourne) headlined by Crompton and Skaife.
They have both had ties to the network previously, so it kinda makes sense, is this where Panelbeaters has transformed to (I must admit I haven't heard of that show, which I quite liked, for some time)?
IIRC, 10 AM on Triple M on Saturdays. I'm going to turn on my radio and see if it was my ears playing tricks on me!
EDIT: Maybe I should have looked first, here is the show's website:
http://www.triplem.com.au/melbourne/shows/stick-shift
10 till 12, and I guess it's possible that it has been on for ages in other places that give AFL a little less airtime?

On their website I think its poor form, the caption of Mark Porter's car in spectacular crashes section.

Matt, I don't know if it's been chopped already, I don't seem to be able to find it to comment on the caption.
Quite worth while e-mailling your thoughts to them though!

If someone could PM me a link, I'll be sure to send it on with dissapproval, and maybe we should all do the same??
I would think that the photos for the site are probably not looked after by Mark or Crompton, and both would agree if there is an issue with it, so lets give them a chance to have it removed.
( I still cant find it or any "Spectacular Crashes" though )

The photo of the Porsche driver in the hands of the medicos is also unnecessary IMO, although not as tasteless as the Porter comment.
FYI the comment is "Someone should point out to the Officer that reckless driving at over 300ks is how a car race works best."

Yep seen now, e-mail sent to Triple M to see what they can do about it, suggest everyone else does the same.
As for the radio show, I now have something to listen to while doing watever on a Saturday morning.
Pretty good I thought, with the added subjects of the road car business rolled in as well!

Having just seen the pic in question I find that extremely rude and distasteful. I will be sending an email to Triple M as well..
Jokes where people lose their lives arent funny. Infact if they were meant to be funny, they went the wrong way about it.

Please tell them the following:
1) Milka Duno is a female. The caption twack seems to think Milka is a male....a sure sign of a passionate race fan
2) The police officer was investigating a race car crash that would claim a driver's life a few days later. He has a duty of care to do so as part of the investigation. The crash didn't happen at 300 km/h, and the outcome was fatal. No real need for even a poor taste joke
3) Dean Fulford came fairly close to injury spectators in the crash at Pukekohe.
What are these turkeys at Triple M on? Triple M..... Mainly Muppets of Media?

I would have thought they would have called it something other than "Stick Shift" (which was Nova 100's very cleverly named late night Gay show).
Without sounding like a "I know people" type w##ker, I know the boss... will e-mail him now, I'm sure he'll be horrified (he's a good guy).

The Porter photo has been taken off the website...
Aside from that, good on Triple M for taking the risk on running a Motorsport show, I'm sure Cromley and Skaife don't come cheap, so it's great to see them making that investment when we all know what sort of financial times we're living in...
We get Hamish and Andy in NZ now, so lets hope the station over here touting itself as the Official Station of Motorsport NZ has the cajones to run it in NZ!
