First session on a drying Zandvoort circuit has finished with a Benetton B197 one-two.

Overall results practice session 1

Session was briefly interrupted when Ingo Gerstl's Dallara GP2 car stopped on the track.

Gary Woodcock did go out - but apparently didn't have a working transponder.
Klaas Zwart was not driving the Jaguar R5 but a Benetton B197.

Tom Coronel quickest in Qualifying - on a wet track.

Leyton House CG891 still not ready.
Session was red flagged just after start as Norbert Gruber spun.
The two Arrows A22 hit trouble - Arnold Wagner causing 2nd red flag just before the end.
Philippe Bourgois blew the engine on his Indycar in spectacular fashion on the straight.

Race 1 in just over an hour - track still very wet.

Thanks the support guys, sorry Ian I'm already back home. Funcup finishes on saturday! Had a great time, end result (21st!) wasn't quite what I hoped after an eventful race for but at least I didn't cause any accidents, annoy anyone or damage the car (much!). Great fun and so much learnt, had the opportunity to have a quick chat with Nigel Greensall and he said I was being sensible and doing everything right so can't get too much more praise than that!

Anyway, was one of the BOSS races today? Anybody any idea how it got on?
