Sidemounts Advice

I've just bought a Corbeau seat for my car and it says on the side of it that that the FIA homologation is invalid if I don't use Corbeau sidemounts....since when would this invalidate it!?! I've already got other sidemounts so now I have to fork out £70 for corbeau ones?

The blue book says: "If the original seat attachments or supports are changed, the new parts must either be approved for that application by the seat manufacturer or must comply with the following specifications (see drawing No. K32)"

So that means I can use any sidemounts I want!?! If so Corbeau need kick!
