Top Ten
This section will normally contain the Top Ten for the round, but I'm sure you can figure it out from the standings below

Hard Charger Award
This is the place where bravery and derring-do are rewarded, as the team who gains the most championship places in a round is awarded the Hard Charger Award.

Biggest Loser Award
The antithesis of the Hard Charger, the Biggest Loser Award is given to the team which forgets which way to go, enjoys playing in sandpits too much, or gains accreditation as demolition experts.

Lego Racers and Eagle Motorsport got off the the best possible start, sharing the silverware in the UAE. B.O.R.I.N.G. chased them all the way to finish just 3 points down, while defending series champions Holly Wood Enterprises opened up with a 6th place finish.
Congrats to fast starters Paul Dumbrell, Jonathan Webb, Jason Bargwanna, and Tim Slade!

Noticed Darth had the same drivers as me, thought I had the jump on him though because he posted his picks after what I thought was the cut off,

Hang on...

I blame the lack of advertising, and the early season start! I happened to be on the forum on Friday night and realised the race was that weekend! Damn that overseas season launch!!

So yeah, the team was submitted after the first practice, but before the first race. And in my haste to get a team in before the cut off (I thought it was before the first race, but re-reading the rules, it was first practice) I picked a team exactly the same as Biggy!

Anyway, we'll leave it in the hands of the officials. But it looks like LegoRacers, like HRT, may have a bit of catching up to do in 2010...

But I am happy I picked a good line-up!

Rules are rules guys, me thinks someone should be missing some point come next weekend, good thing is DARTH has amitted it and not trying to use the old "I didn't do it". Like Darth said, we'll leave it in the hands of the officials - (Antro)

Oh Yeah

HCM is pleased with its 2010 start to the championship and is ready for Round 2, coming away from the weekend with next to no damage on the cars. Look forward to seeing the crowd figures for this weekend, if we are lucky we might have 6-7 people who aren't part of a team at this event, good on you V8 supercars.

I was prepared to be a bit lenient this time around, especially since the season start is so early and its usually the organised guys (ie not the late ones) who fill the top spots. Unfortunately for Lego Racers coming first after filing a late entry can look a bit dubious so i'll have to enforce the rule, which will also affect Green Hornets and Bahodietek (cutoff date was 9:20pm Thursday NZDT).

I can just see Marcus doing a little victory dance right now!
