LMS Silverstone 2010
Hi,
Does anybody know what circuit configuration will be used?
The new Arena GP Circuit or the Old GP circuit that was raced last year
Thanks

Will the campsites be open for this event, does anyone have any experience of them?

Whittlebury Park will be open plus Silverstone is offering camping for £25. I stayed at Whittlebury a few years ago & enjoyed it-live music on the Saturday night. Nice walk through to the circuit aswell.

Me and my dad are thinking about hiring an MPV, travelling down on Saturday, spending Saturday and Sunday night at the circuit, if possible.
Can you stop inside the circuit, is that a popular spot?
Do you book through the circuit, or just turn up?

Camping inside the circuit is impossible I'd say..isn't the new track layout exactly at the places the campsites for marshals were before?

I've used Whittlebury several times (hopefully again this year) and arnie's right about that walk. I wouldn't even bother thinking about the circuit itself.

At the FIA GTs the circuit camping was on the outside of Copse, on the sort of concretey-scrub land immediately outside the perimeter fence.
No brainer to go for Whittlebury instead in my opinion, more attractive & better facilities.

For camping at Whittlebury? No, you can just turn up, but it is cheaper to book more than seven days in advance, so I'd do that. Also means a couple of minutes less form filling when you arrive.

Where is it stated that they'll use the new circuit? I've seen no reports or confirmation anywhere...

I have stayed at Whittlebury before this meeting and I think it was little cheaper if you book in advanced. I will be there for this (well I am missing the main event) but only on the Friday and Sunday, I can't do the Saturday as I have to go to a Wedding.
