Donington Park - Good News?

A new lease holder for Donington Park has been announced according to the GP Update website

http://f1.gpupdate.net/en/formula-1-...w-leaseholder/

Fingers crossed for the future.

and MCN http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/Ne.../?R=EPI-124298

and save donington campaign http://www.savedonington.co.uk

will be interesting to see what the comments that the group intends to "spread the range of sports Donington is able to host" and "develop new income streams whilst broadening the range of facilities and events from exhibitions to new sports" will bring

We don't want the old equipment back; we want nice up-to-date new equipment.

Yes, and also, if you're reading, please make the cables on the phones longer (it's very difficult to flag and post-chief otherwise), and fix the phone on post 7 - never could hear anything on that

Funny how it is the littlest things which can sometimes be the hardest to get fixed.

The current plan, which still appears to be realistic and on schedule, is for Masters Racing Club to hold the first meeting on 3rd/4th/5th September to re-open the circuit
There's a few of us on here already involved in that meeting and we're determined to make this a fitting event for the 'new' Donington.
Please don't ask me any details yet - a combination of 'I don't know' and 'I'm sworn to secrecy' probably covers most questions at the moment but as soon as I REALLY know anything, I'll be posting on here.
In the meantime, please volunteer via the usual channels and look forward to seeing you there.
.....and I'm not responsible for the length of leads on the post telephones
