John Dagys tweets an expected rumor.

The good thing out of this is that must mean that Audi will indeed compete against Porsche in Le Mans!

So both of them have a valid contract for how much years?
If Audi wants to compete with four cars next year, it could be interesting who they choose instead of Bernhard and Dumas.

I doubt that that will be the case. The four entries this year is quite exceptional because of reliability concerns about the hybrid system and expected tough competition against Peugeot.
However, Capello will retire after Le Mans. So that leaves 10 drivers for 3 cars: Lotterer, Fässler, Tréluyer, McNish, Kristensen, Jarvis, Bonanomi, Rockenfeller, Duval and Gené.

Without an competitor as strong as Peugeot, they might not need to run 4 cars.
And i do not see Toyota as an equal competitor to Audi, until 2014.

Will be interesting to see if anything more comes out about Porsche potentially running an interim chassis or engines in something next year. They would need drivers for those.

There have been multiple reports that Porsche will start testing their car in the second half of 2013. That is why Bernhard and Dumas will not be with Audi next year.

Wasn't Rocky a Porsche driver loaned out too? He ran for AJR before.

No, he was a Porsche factory driver in 2005-2006, but he became a Audi factory driver in 2007.

German Wikipedia says he was a Porsche factory driver until 2007.

i think that next year line-up will be something like this
tréluyer + tréluyer + lotterer (it depends by his will to keep on in GT500)
mcnish + kristensen + géne
rockenfeller + duval + bonamoni or jarvis
as you said in 2013 is really unprobable to see again 4 audi, surely there will be 3 on spa and le mans.
