This Looks Great!
Cheers Al. Thanks for the itinerary. As I have to do a few hours work on Saturday, it looks like a nice way to spend Sunday, so I shall be there nice and early.
May I wish all the drivers a really safe days racing.

I will be there, hoping for good track conditions, to try and attempt to break the 100mph lap barrier (48.5secs)

Hope you can do it.
I hope that you can achieve that Joss. Incidentally, your not too far away from two of the older gentlemen of Saloon cars are you? Jeff Ward, and Terry McNally both hail from your area I seem to recall? Of course I am talking a long time ago.

Unfourtunately I don't recall either, but I had a big break in the Sport.
I raced from 1986 to the end of 90 in a Sunbeam Lotus Super Road Saloons, Lotus Challenge and in Sports & Saloons in varying states of Mods/Slick 50 3.9 Rover SDI/Pug 205 1.9 in Prod Saloons/Astra 16v in Prod Saloons then Modprods, then a 12 year gap as the recession before last took me down :'0)
Started back in 2002 when I started my business, PRO-Driver, with the car I had most enjoyed to race those years before, but had abandoned back then, due to its terrible relalabilty problems.
Had heard of Seaman Motorsport and there quick, big cc reliable motors, made a call, and here we are now, 9 seasons later, still together working on getting my Hot Hatch even Hotter

Jeff Ward/Terry McNally
Hi Joss, well, they were what you might call pretty damn quick, when it comes to handling saloon cars. Lap record holders both, at more than one circuit, and pioneers in the tin-top racing area of the game. I can remember who my peers were, even at my age. Lawrie Hickman, exciting driver, John Young and Chris Craft, specialists in out and out race driving. Roger Williamson, and Gerry Marshall, drivers that taught me my craft, names that will never be forgotten in the sport.

Yep, good post, Gerry. And many more, of course; the list could go on, but then we'd have to move this to 'History'!

I have been asked by committee member to post that if anyone is thinking of entering this event that the invitation class requirements will be relaxed so if you have a car that doesnt quite fit in with the regulations but you still fancy a run out in this value for money interesting event please contact Andy Johnson andy.johnson@classictouringcars.com and discuss it with him, no club memberships will be required.
Please try to support one of the smaller players putting on our own event as without the smaller clubs the big clubs will end up with the monopoly and we all know where that leads.

Slight revision to the timetable, there is a now a Pre'93 Saloons race on the Saturday and a 2nd on the Sunday instead of both on the Sunday, this will give more room for guys to enter an extra pair of races for just £100, got to be some sort of bargain that at just £50 a race so if you are interested please contact Andy above even if you car doesn't quite conform with the regs (including some of you Jag owners)!
