Hey all. Sorry that I haven't posted here in a while.

But I am asking for your help.

Could you please sign the petition at the following address.

http://www.petitiononline.com/hockf1/petition.html

Thanks for that, Niall. Well I've certainly signed it, it's just appalling what they're gonna do to that circuit.

Sadly i don't think that this will save the circuit. But if enough sigs are collected at least it will tell them what the fans want. Maybe might stop them from changing Spa or monz in the near future aswell.

Well, I'm about to sign it, but you'll need at least 100,000 signatures before bernie will even look at it.

100,000 is doable. A few weeks back there was a petition to keep F1 on Speedvision. They racked up almost 40,000 signatures in about 3 days. Keep up the good work Niall!!

I signed it - it'll take a lot for it to make any difference at all, but it's a great attitude to take. Well done!

The map is the proposed layout, and it looks awful.

So that the baying hordes of TGF fans in the Stadium can see their idol go past them 65 times instead of 45!!!

But mainly because Hockenheim isn't fan-friendly and TV-friendly enough. Wouldn't it be ironic if one of the European races that Bernie axes were to be the European GP and Germany would end up left with a race on a second-rate Mickey Mouse circuit ...

Awful is putting it mildly!! That hairpin is going to see a lot of action, as it looks like the only place anyone will get a passing manouevre in - good thing it appears to have a very big gravel trap, it'll need it!! And that long "curving straight" before it will surely bring back all that was dangerous about the old Hockenheim.
Yech!!!

And just a postscript to my previous thought: if Bernie got rid of the German GP and kept the European, the Germans would still have a race on a second-rate Mickey Mouse circuit ...

I think it will have all the character of the New Nurburgring - None. There is no way that the F1 calendar could accomodate both the new Hockenheim and the Nurburgring!
