I noticed the GT cars with the 'gentlemen drivers' did 2:10's - 2: 12's in their sprint race at the Bathurst 1000.
The 'Pro's' seemed to do similar times on the weekend while the 'Gents' did times about 4 seconds off that.
At a guess I am going to say that was because of, harder compound tyres & brakes, bigger fuel tanks, and a few other endurance mods.
So in 'sprint' mode maybe the 'Pros' would be on par with a V8 Supercar time?
Maybe FF or Sheep Stations can tell us?

The Audis have heaps more time in them than what was shown in qually.
Lowndes' best race lap on Sunday was 2:09.0861, with enough fuel to complete 25 more fast laps to the finish. His best Sunday time en route to winning the 1000 last year was 2:08.8845, barely two tenths quicker.
The Aussie R8's pole time was 6:35.3, comprised by an 2:11.3 for Lowndes, 2:09.6 for Luff and 2:14.3 for Eddy. All times were set in the morning session, when the track was cool and traffic was thick.
Lowndes told me a low eight was doable already. With setup tweaks and no rev limiter, I reckon sevens are there for the taking.

Anybody seen an entry list yet? How many starters are we looking at? How many have been lost to CC?

It looks like they've gained as many as they lost so it's really just a shuffle of the deck chairs.

So who's new in the zoo?...looking at driver profiles there is huge attrition, not all of them to Carrera Cup either.
Will be interesting to see who the new runners are.

Could this win the series, if paritied correctly?

Nice car though. Looks great in white with those Scuderia stripes.

Not a hope for outright. A good car for class B perhaps.
The Tuelan enhancements were a nett negative effect overall. The refusal of the GT people to allow in even the 450 scud upgrade is abysmal. Hence, no Fezzas.

Oh, come now.
While the Teulan Institute of Technical Science with help from the Bureau of Unfounded Mechanical Stupidity (TITS and BUMS) was perhaps not the most advanced development ground, he/they DID make progress with improved cooling and they ditched the stupid skinny 19" wheels and carbon stoppers for decent width 18"s and steelies...
So it wasn't ALL backwards.
The Aero Research School of Engineering (ARSE) dept, WAS a little err, underfunded, though.

No doubt this was all extensively tested at Ferrari's Aftermarket Research Track! Just to make sure there was no excessive pollution

I think that's where the BUMS and ARSE are based...
Clearly, a major ARSE BUMS FART operation, with funding from TITS.

Hands up who wants to see the likes of Frosty at Baathurst in one of these?
If you do (and have half a mil burning very large holes through your trousers), please spent it here:
