Move is heading a big, big train now. It's not if but when he starts getting bumped down the order. The 2 behind are leagues quicker!

Could be a daft 'rubber neck' shunt the way they're going though.

Rossi is bound to dive up the inside into the hairpin at some point!

Ballsy move by Rossi for the lead there, even touching one of the pitboards!

Very Gilles Villeneuve esque!!

Hartley spins from 14th. Oh dear

Rossi looking absolutely stellar now, it'll be interesting to see if Wickens can do anything about that gap now he's in free air.

Great scrap for 6th!!!!!! Grubmuller having failed to nail Move, knobbled Van Der Drift by almost stopping dead out of T1 and Vergne drove around both of them!!!

Was, I'll say.

Is there a point for fast lap, yeah? Don't recall.

Once again got to say what a fabulous circuit this one is!!

Good racing down the order, again illustrating the strength in depth of this years field. Somehow, Move hasn't been bumped any further down the order, still in 5th place.

Vergne's got upto 6th! Brilliant.

Impressive performance by Rossi on his way to a well-deserved victory.

Enjoyable start to the season, looking forward to race two

Doesn't seem like it, there's nothing about it in the regs posted on the WsR website.

Yeah, great stuff, points in the bag. 2 Americans on the grid, when was the last time that happened. Good drive Rossi, JEV.

thought it was a good drive by panciatici too, he cocked up the start a bit and costa got through but just kept going, kept it on the track and ended up on the podium. perhaps it'll make up for the massive mess nebylitskiy made of his car - that's going to take a long time to fix.

i felt really sorry for move, but he was holding up the *entire* field at one point so it's probably only fair in the end. i thought there were a couple of dirty overtakes - the one wickens did on move in particular where he left him nowhere to go except on the dirt was pretty unfair but he wasn't the only one to do that.

shame they couldn't get the anthem to play for rossi on the podium though

two things - it's the low downforce race so in theory that should encourage overtaking. yet it still took rossi 11 laps (including a couple under the sc to be fair) to get past a clearly much slower car in front. and not much went on behind for a little while until car started to get out of position in relation to their pace. so i'm not so sure the circuit really helped? course in comparison to somewhere like spa it's better but i'm not sure it's *that* good!

bit of a disappointment for vergne, and crikey, move and canamasas in the top 5. good effort from williamson and korjus too.
It would have been an amazing job for Vergne to be on the pace instantly.

And now that I've read the rest of the thread...

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH BABY! GET. IN. THERE. I believe that's the first win by an American past the F3 stage in quite some time. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, good point! I think Summerton's A1 GP win must be the last if we count A1 GP, otherwise even Speed couldn't win in GP2 despite finishing 3rd...

Enjoyed that race, I think we have Daniil Move to thank for the top 15 being within 10 seconds more or less of each other after a whole 20 minutes! Rossi was superb. Why was Hartley slipping down the order and then ultimately facing the wrong way, the camera was never really on him? And was Williamson not allowed to make his way back to 10th on the formation lap after not getting away? Bit of a shame, he has been much more impressive than Berthon, who also got caught out by a decent move from Webb on the last lap.
