Good call. Certainly not forgotten in this house.

Hats off to you Chris. What irks me about that weekend is it seems no-one remembers him. Only Ayrton.

Very, very sad indeed. I remember both of them every year.

Yep, me too.
Sorry i'm late in replying, I havn't been on here as much over the past few days.
Certainly spared a thought for Roland and Ayrton. Still can't imagine what it would have been like to witness the events of that weekend.
RIP to you two.

Agreed it was a very dark day for Motorsport , Roland was always a favourite of mine especially at Le Mans where he was missed in a huge way.

Roland was a wonderful guy. I was lucky enough to work with him in his earlier career and all of us on the team were very fond of him. A very talented guy who always struggled for budget but took everything in a positive way - not a paranoid type at all like many other drivers seem to be.
That weekend was a very, very dark place at Imola - most couldn't get out of there quickly enough and I still remember the feeling of complete shock and sadness that Roland had been killed just as he was at last realising his long held dream to be a Formula 1 driver.
There isn't a time that Ayrton is mentioned that I don't think of Roland and the signed photo that I have of Roland will always have it's pride of place in my house.
