no fancy for racing Caterham Dan that is going to be my road car for this year once its on the road, will do a trackday or 2 in it though, would be rude not to I did the advert after having a good think about what ive got planned for this year and am just being realistic, I run my 2 oldest sons racing in karts at least twice sometimes race meetings a month and that is without doing any practice days with them they are both quick and do well and would be a shame for them to have to stop, I have the Caterham which I want to get out in and have recently bought a Quad bike for off road fun that Im really enjoying and like to get out on whenever I can, have 3 holidays booked for this year and tbh just cant see how im going to find the time and more importantly the money to race the car as well!!

Its advertised now and I will keep going on it til it sells and do some testing in it and if it sells it can go, if it doesnt I will just keep going as originally planned do a couple of races and see how things go, I dont need to sell it just think its the sensible thing to do ? a lot of the cars Ive seen for sale dont sell end up sold in bits which I would prefer to avoid

Lol@Pete!

Totally understand where you're coming from Jeff. To be honest, I've been questioning my own sanity over the whole thing over the past couple of days.

Definitely gonna do Knockers and the first Croft round and definitely missing Rockingham so that give me till July to decide whether to do the rest or not.

Hope to see you on the grid at some point. It's a bloody cheap car for what it is though so it may sell. Would be a shame to break it.

You going to do the Croft test day on the 28th Jeff? I was surprised to find out yesterday that it's not fully booked yet.

You any closer to getting yours back together Pete?

It's £210 for 6 X 30 min sessions. £30 for an extra driver.

I thought it was pretty good value for a proper test day, given the lack of noisy days available at Croft and all the OPL, noisy track days at Croft this year (which are all later in the year) are £250-£300.

I think it's ideal to find out if the car will be competitive as, if the weather is ok, the lap times will give you a direct comparison to that pesky Honda.

yep that is good value, any idea if they would allow two cars to share a slot ? I would be more than happy with half that amount of time.

It's something me and my mate were considering but ended booking two full slots after a wasted day at Snett.

I'd give them a call and ask but if you already have somebody to take the other half a day I can't see them having a problem with it.

Not many other options for track time without travelling long distances and track days ate starting to get expensive now we're into March.

You guys got it booked up now then. Chop chop!

Looks like the May rounds at Croft is going to be a strange meeting.
