Donkey cart beats out Porsche
LISBON - A donkey cart beat a Porsche in a race held in a northern Portuguese city over the weekend to see which mode of transportation could best handle car congestion.
The cart, pulled by a seven-year-old donkey named Tironi, was the first to reach the port city of Viana do Castelo from the suburb of Areosa some two kilometres away, Jornal de Noticias newspaper reported on Monday.
Viana do Castelo opposition city councillor Antonio Jose Amaral, who helped organise the challenge held Sunday, said the result proved the need to build a ring road around the city of some 36 000 people.
"Unfortunately the donkey ended up winning.
This mode of transportation is not from our era but it looks like to get around Viana do Castelo we have to go back in time," he said.
City officials have rejected the need for the construction of a ring road arguing there are no major traffic problems in the city.

YOu would need to be daft to bring a Porsche on a safari , unless its their suv thing !!!
Right ..... you sticking with your guns on Risi beating Lizards at Sebring ?
Could we possibily start a poll on this ..... See who Mr.Right is again , just like last year ...... and none of your thread sabotage this time round .... bribing innocent folk to vote Ferrari !!
Be interesting to have 2 votes ..... Who thinks Risi will beat the Lizards at Sebring , and who "wants" to see Risi beating the Lizards at Sebring . Would that be allowed ?

3. You can't decide which Porsche to give your 16 year old so you give them the Ferrari and explain you're sorry but I don't think you're ready for it yet.

Yeah ..... 16 year old's get toys but ,when they turn 18 they get a Porsche !!!
