Poorly PieLady

They want me in for another operation on 28th June - as a day patient - and still no idea what treatment may follow.

So, PieLady will not be around for a bit longer than planned this season. Just as well we already cancelled FStudent - much against our will.

Bill is hoping to do Donington for the AMOC on 25/26th June while leaving me with my sister in Nottingham. If things work out then I might be there on the Sunday showing my mum around. Do say hello if I'm there and you see me!

I want to plan a holiday for when all this is over and done with - Bill will certainly need one after looking after me so well. Don't want too much hassle so any UK suggestions (by train or boat) gratefully received.

All the best to everyone and hope you're not missing me too much !!!!!

Shelagh (PieLady )

Look after yourself Shelagh. I now know what it's like being laid up for anytime after my problems last year!

Thanks to the interweb though was able to keep in touch with things and friends.

Hope to catch up with you soon.

Shelagh

Hope you mend well. Try not to rush back - let nature take its time as it has a habit of biting those who try too much too soon.

Bill certainly will need a holiday if he's on post for all the hours scheduled for the AMOC meeting. Still if he wants to be on telly........

For a holiday consider York. Easy by train, plentiful accomodation at all prices, lots to see and do and never more than 100m from a quality drinking place of some kind where you can sit and rest. Opportunity to ride Flying Scotsman to Scarborough for a day trip.

Informal and random Zimmer frame, pushchair, stick, crutches and wheelchair racing organised daily in city centre so opportunities for the frail to join in. You will be on the pace.

Finally, many places to try Pies. Could research all day long ready for a return to the tracks.

If you do make it to york PM me and I'll meet up and buy you and Bill a pint or two. It's quite affordable Up North

Speedy recovery.

Get well soon, Sheila, we do miss you. And best wishes to Bill, too. You're probably running him ragged.
