RIP John. You were one of the reasons why I love this sport so much.

Only heard this sad news today - John was a true supporter of Alfa Romeos, racing with the Dealer Team, and until recently regularly attended our AROC section meetings, despite suffering from Parkinson's disease.
RIP John, you'll be missed. Condolences to all family and friends.

JOHN MYERSCOUGH
This is such sad news. John was a friend back in the early days of special saloons, and I used to meet him all over the place, and race alongside him. I am saddened, one more of the pioneers has left us.
My condolences to Johns Family. What else can anyone say.
RIP my old mate.
Gerry.

I first saw John race the Westune Anglia at Aintree were he was very much a local hero. He was also entered in a Brabham BT11/19 4.5 in early F5000 races by John Butterworth. I remember being very impressed by his roadgoing MGB into which he had neatly installed a Daimler 2.5 V8. Later in his career he went on to race a McLaren M10B. Sad to hear of his passing.

I add my condolences to the family and friends of a driver who entertained me in my youth. Very sad news.

Very sad news, John was one of the nicest guys I ever met in racing, I watched him racing the Anglia and the F5000 cars before I held a licence.
Then in 1976 had the pleasure of racing with John in our Modsports E type Jaguars, great days! R.I.P.

Hi I am a friend of John's daughter, and have been for a while trying to collect some stuff together on John's racing career. Does anyone perhaps have any photos or other info I could copy. even scans of old programmes etc. Let me know and I will send my details, thanks, The Motorpriest.

I raced against John at Croft/ Rufforth etc in the late 60s. I have some results sheets I could copy if you are interested.
