As shown by last year when Ferrari on paper looked a good bet for the title.

Testing isn't just about lap times. But, in any event, it will just be nice to be able to watch F1 cars during testing.

I presume it'll be interviews with the movers and shakers rather than just cars circulating.

Don't forget Sky also makes a fortune from selling subscriptions to Sky Sport to publicans at very high prices. They are currently discounting heavily in this area including the fact that they are "The new home of F1".
All this promotion comes of course at a time when an EU Court ruling on their Football broadcast monopoly went against them and a UK High Court decision on whether to ratify that is expected on Feb 24th.
Any copyright issues resolved then will effect consumers too, so I wouldn't subscribe just yet unless you have Sky already because you may well find you can do it cheaper through a foreign broadcaster, or they will be forced to discount further.
Personally I'm watching Ben on the Beeb.....

From SKY's quarterly figures this morning
4 million with HD subscription + non HD Sports subscribers, all capable of getting the F1 channel at no further cost.

Nothing confirmed, but I have heard rumours it might be on red button on the F1 channel. I'm very keen to know for sure though.

Also suggested that they might not be on the F1 Channel at all, rather Sky Sports 3 or 4

Having watched the coverage of the McLaren launch yesterday on SSN, I was quite impressed with the level of coverage it got.
A 5 minute live teaser from outside in the hour leading up to it, and the full 12-15 minutes of coverage as it actually happened.
I am still not quite sure whether this was sponsor driven or not, but will just have to wait and see what coverage the other teams get. I suspect we wont see quite as much of the other cars. And yes, the fact it was hosted by the new Sky Sports F1 Presenter may have helped the level of coverage received.

Personally I can't wait for the channel to launch, we have been able to tighten our belts enough to get Sky and can do so to get the HD package now too.
I'm sure the Sky coverage will be fantastic and a lot more in depth than the 'matey' dumbed down BBC version.

The Beeb often get Jake Humphries to host other stuff, so don't give up hope just yet.
