I would just like to say it was nice to talk or just smile at all the different Marshals up and down the pit lane and behind the garages, when I was wandering around, giving transponders out to cars, who own transponders had gone down during the 24hrs. The timekeeping team were very concerned when we heard that a marshal had been injured during the night. I was just going for my sleep and my first question when I came back was " Any news on the Marshal". I hope he has a speedy recovery. I shall be back hopefully again next year !!

Thanks to everyone I worked with this weekend - Firstly Village Post6 on Friday, including the bouncing Smart and stranded F3. Both very well handled, thanks very much. Secondly to the startline / pitlane / ch flag teams, loved being in there this weekend, despite the unsafe invasion in the final few minutes.
Best wishes to the marshals involved in the incident at Maggotts on Saturday night.

It was a unique experience trying to corale the public at times with little or no help from onsite security, we have been down that road before at this meeting so I'll leave that there.
The crew were a scream as always, despite some obvious difficulties I feel we managed it well enough. Great to meet some new people and renew old aquaintences alike. Will be back next year but I feel I need to join my regular crews on the bank. Thanks again and I know I'll be back to visit those in the pitlane.

Yes we do do live snatches in the dark. Last year at Vale in the Britcar 24hr we did something around 15 or more in the dark under yellows.
Of course Nina and I extend our love and best wishes to our injured colleague. We are saddened that it happened at all, but thanking whatever greater powers there are that it was not even worse.
We also extend our love and best wishes to the whole Echo team, for who it must have been such a shock but soldiered on regardless.
Also of course a big thank you to the responders - it is good knowing that you are there.

Had a great day at Beckett's Inside on Fri - had a visit from an MX5 who scuffed my nice white tyre wall. Crew as always were fantastic.
Village for the 24hr. Crew were fantastic. We had such a great time with everybody. Atmosphere was brilliant with many laughs along the way. A real integrated team with lots of confidence in each other. I love it when this happens.
Weather was stunning (but very hot) - night sky was beautiful. Did anyone else spot the Space Station passing over at sunrise at about 06:30? It was a rare sight in perfect conditions.
Oh yes, and we did a few incidents (fortunately no crashes). It was interesting having 3 at once on 3 different spots on a very large post in the very early hours....
Great 24 hours (excepting the obvious of course)
(Tony)

We spotted a white dot moving across the sky (approx west to east) which was too fast to be a plane and too slow to be a meteor. Don't know if that was it tho'

had a great time at the loop on friday and brooklands through the weekend, fantatsic people and a good laugh
pretty quiet until the lead mosler paid us a dramatic visit and woke us up a bit on sunday afternoon, shame he ended up with us as would have ended up being a good scrap for the lead. was a bit nasty buring under the tyres, just glad that the fire was out quick and driver was ok if a little shaken.
Great weekend all round, just a shame I had to get up for work this morning!

Firstly - I hope that our injured marshal makes a speedy recovery and that the team who were on that post are all ok!
Secondly - WHAT A FAB WEEKEND!!!! Definitely putting my name down for all three days next year! Thanks to our Friday team at Farm - quiet day with the exception of a visiting Caterham, and to our weekend team at Chapel In! Another quiet two days at Chapel, but the Redditch Ruffnecks rendition of Morning has Broken and some scary sleeping type occurances made the event a scream. Just remind me, next year, not to go drinking rocket fuel in the middle of the night. And buy a tent to take to post so that I can try and get some proper sleep instead of sprawling in the new hut.
Sadly this was our last event of the season now , so off to wash the probans, turf out marshal bag, and start writing next year's wish list!!

Just to echo what everyone else has said and hope the injured marshal is back on his/her feet soon.
For me, this the motor-sport highlight of the year and it just keeps getting better, thanks to Britcar, the BRSCC and everyone who makes it possible. For those wanting to relive the weekend here is a link to a few photos, not taken by me I hasten to add, Britcar24hrs

Loved the whole event. Best club race meeting of the season followed by the brilliant 24hours. Superb.
As everyone else has said, best wishes to the injured marshal for a full and rapid recovery. Those yellow lights do need looking at, though, and can't have given the drivers much information.
Also reminded why I haven't upgraded to observer: "Control from post 7. Car 51 overtook... forgotten the number... under waved yellows." Even though as a flaggie I'd been following the car for blues for several laps. Happily Post 6 was on the ball and could give the correct number!

Firstly, and most importantly best wishes to injured marshal.
It was a fun 24hrs flagging & observing at Brooklands (Post 12). It would have been nicer if all of the car's numbers had been illuminated! Thanks to the guys at Post 14 helping pick up some of the numbers of spinners I missed!
With regards to the night-time live snatches from Brooklands around to Woodcote, the circuit yellows around the area were illuminated as well as the piddly little lights. Admittedly, a couple of times, it took a while after the circuit was clear for them to be turned off!
Good work on the Mosler Juliet. It had just come through on the observer radios that there was a car on fire, just as it came into view down Wellington Straight!

To all the marshalls at Silverstone over the Britcar weekend - what a brilliant job - its a cliche to say without you we wouldnt be able to indulge our passion but dont ever think you are taken for granted....thanks...you are the best !
Also, the whole Saxon team (Car 87 Civic) were shocked to hear that a marshall was injured during the night (I was in the car for the 45 minutes safety car and didnt begrudge a second to make sure that the injured were helped properly) and trust whoever it was has a speedy recovery
See you all in 2012

Dear All
May I thank all that watched, raced, worked, marshaled, supplied, photographed, filmed and enjoyed a great race.
Please spread the word.
See you again next year....27/28/29/30 September...

Yes that was it - just as the stars faded and the sky was getting light. it was like a satellite but much larger. it was a rare and perfect sighting.
