In defense of lack of a crowd, it was raining hard off and on all day, and Indy usually cancels/postpones due to wet weather.

Yeah, they'll cancel/postpone if it's NASCRAP or IRL racing on the oval. Small crowd was a combination of "weekday" and GA race.

Came by this on John Dagys twitter. Friday pit stop demo at Indy by Ganassi, woman gets too close to the pit crew and gets knocked off her feet. Wrong place, wrong time.

So, the positions of Juan and Ryan at the point of impact may be a moot point, since it sounds like Montoya shouldn't have even been trying to pass at that point.

had to put on my wet weather gear at least three or four times
the rain wasn't bad, it was the lightning and all that armco around us that was a bit worrying

just got a tweet from Gary Horrocks (dsc) that the Starworks #8 DP is done for the season and a story will be out soon about another competitor calling it quits.
