Your 3D video device
Well, once again this one goes out to the gamers. Nowadays every single game requires some sort of 3D device for decent game performance and nice enough graphics. So What do U have on your PC?
Note: I still haven't voted because although I have a 16MB Diamond monster fusion (Voodoo Banshee) by next week I'll have my brand new ATI Radeon DDR (or at least I hope!).

Well sharky you know I have a Geforce 2, which is not the best but it fills my expectatives. So I hope you can get that Ati radeon.

I've got a 16mb Diamond Viper V550 - hardly brilliant, but it does the job.

Voodoo
I'm still plugging away with a Voodoo 3 on a 333 celeron with 128 meg of RAM. GPL, GP3 etc. work fine - I don't need to turn any grphics effects off at all.
.....but I would like a new card!

I have a GeForce 2 MX too.
There is some D3D patch for GPL. I can't get to my computer for a while so I can't check where I got it.
But you can find a D3D patch at this site http://www.papy.com/gpl/gpl.index.html
Dunno if it works, just google around a bit if it doesn't

I have a voodoo 3 3000 which, while fine, is now obsolete as voodoo no longer make cards or drivers. I can get a 64mb Geforce 2 Mx card for £79.99. Would you recommend this card and most importantly has it caused anyone any problems with playing GP3?

I found it at some small local chain called 'Discking' or something like that. The card also has a TV out on it. Do you reckon its a good deal?

Damn! The guy that was going to get me my Radeon got lost.....it seems that I'll be stuck with my Banshee for a while....
BTW Damon. As far as I know that card hasn't had any problems with GP3. However....I'm not sure it's such a great deal. Especially now that new Geforce 3 Titanium and the ATIs 7500 and 8500 will be hitting the stores soon. I suggest you read these articles:

I'm no expert when it comes to graphics cards, but I haven't seen a 64 mb card of any kind selling for under the ton. If there's some state of the art new stuff coming out, now could be the right time to pick up a bargain. 64 mb of GeForce 2 for 80 quid sounds pretty good to someone who paid £130 for a 16 mb Voodoo 2 years ago!

I waited for my 64MB Geforce 2 card until the price was reasonable and I've thrilled. Stable technology, stable drivers and it makes everything look and move better.
Even a quirky choice like Spirit of Speed 1937. There is, after all, no accounting for taste.

IAYO has put me in a blissfully non-conformist mood tonight, Mr. L, so I'm happy to celebrate your choice/taste. (BTW, I paid Brooklands a visit a few years back (I've even got some photos which I took from up on the remaining banking buried somewhere). It must have been an awesome experience driving (and spectating) there!).
