Guess Big C couldn't resist one last chance to nerf Mikey.

I'm really glad I knew in advance of the tape delayed race that Bruno won because boy were Page and Parker cheering for Mikey to beat him!

And what is all this about "Bruno's career hangs by a thread if he doesn't win" when it took Christian three years to win his first race?????

Hurrah for Bruno - we knew you could do it!

I don't think Ganassi will decide until the end of the season unless one of the drivers really does something to raise his ire. I think Gidley has shown more drive and desire to win that Junqueria has, until the results from Road America came in. The win by Junqueria coupled to the huge shunt by Gidley I think have evened the field or maybe put Junqueria slightly ahead in the race to fill the second seat. I do think that Ganassi will be paying close attention to qualifying efforts as well as resutls from here on out.

Congrats to Bruno for an excellent drive to the win. He showed everything it takes to be a champion: he never quit, he jumped into the lead when the oppurtunity was presented and kept the lead while under the pressure of CART's winningest driver.

...And easier to understand than Dixon.

Who would have predicted Bruno? Not me. Really happy for the guy, though. Interesting race, I think. Even though our coverage was tape-delayed seven hours for golf, the show was so chopped up I couldn't keep track of anything. Had no idea of pit strategies. They cut off after the red flag, and returned at the green flag after Gidley's hit. Missed an entire green flag session in between.

Dixon tried the "He Who Makes the Most Pit Stops Wins" strategy.
As did Fernandez.
Almost worked.

Kudos must go to Helio. Five points over Brack now.

But the most kudos go to Bruno's over-the-wall crew.

Educational how easily Gugelmin lost control in water.

Fernandez was last with a few laps to go!

Macdaddy- what, do you have a problem with hus new zealunder ackcent?

Remember, Memo did come a very close second in only his second race, and coming into this race after only a few events, he was ahead of Bruno in the points...

Did Page and Parker commentate the whole race? Down here we had them up until the red flag, and then we were told they had stopped commentating because of a WNBA game (or something...) and we had the pommy peeps for the rest of the race...

Unfortunately we were stuck with P&P for the entire race. Worse luck for us. At one point they didn't know they were on the air and they were making smart remarks and they called Mikey "Mikey". Hah!

Congratulations to Bruno on his first win. Now that was unexpected!!!

Perhaps that would have done enough to keep his seat for next year alongside Brack, because although Gidley has done a good job, Bruno has delivered some good results too, and has a great resume concerning titles won previously etc.

Also, it appears Ganassi might not have the number one plate again next year. I think Penske might be retaining it, although this time Helio will have it.

I honestly think its a bit early to be making championship predictions at the moment...heck 9 people have won races and 3/4 of the field has been on the podium, and the championhsip lead is changing by the weekend at the moment...it's almost like last year.

Great drive by Bruno. Very mature. I think he is the favourite to keep his seat. I mentioned in another thread that Memo may end up at Rahal.

I just wish the race could have been fully wet or fully dry. I feel we were slightly robbed of a fantastic race.

Also robbed were the guys at the back of the pack who changed to slicks before the red. It was a dumb decision (or rule) to allow the guys who hadn't changed tyres to do so in the stopage. If it was a brand new race, fair enough. But it wasn't. The likes of Franchitti, Fernandez and Zanardi all lost track position because they stopped for slicks. And because they restarted in those positions after the red flag, they should have been allowed to make up those positions when the others had to stop for slicks. As Dario said, these drivers got "a freebie."

Christian was very silly. It makes his applauding antics of Bruno at Toronto seem even more stupid.

Another superb drive from Scott Dixon. What a star this guy is. And as an Australian, I will not claim him as one of us (as we usually do of any successful Kiwi. Even though he did learn to race real racing cars in Australia.

Also, good drives from Fernandez and Andretti.

But this season, is running last a disadvantage at all?? Fernandez didn't have a problem on the weekend, and other in the last few weekends have been capable of storming through..
