TrueBlueFlyer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
by the way... that SCCA membership that everyone expressed urgency in joining seems a bit useless when wanting to work some track events at Watkins Glen or even New Jersey Motorsports Park.... in fact I ended up sending an application/check to Rescue Services Inc. at the Glen just to work Grand Am there.

$5.00

I worked 15 days and referred someone so my renewal was only $5.00.

I've done 2 out of 9+ events (6 out of 25+ days) I plan to attend in the US already. I'm guessing the Pro events will more than pay for the membership, and some of my expenses getting to the tracks.

But ironically, now that I'm hooked on Grand Am, being SCCA isn't a guarantee to participate. I signed up with RSI because I really want to see them at Watkins Glen, I hope Lime Rock doesn't make me join their corps to volunteer for ALMS there. Then Baltimore... arghhh, all those fees! Pain in the ass.

Don't think of them as fees, think of them as ticket prices to get one of the best seats in the house!!

To my knowledge, Watkins Glen is a special case. You should not be asked to pay extra for any other SCCA venue. When we do Grand Am at Laguna, for instance, SCCA membership is fine to get us in.

I was tempted to burn some miles to do Grand Am at Laguna Seca this year, but couldn't get it to fit into my Singapore trip.

Going via Europe instead the day after the race.
