Great result for Kevin, not only a win for the UK (and a Ford! ), but done from the C Final. Incredible! Can't wait to see the video of the Finals.
From the pictures on RX World conditions looked like they were equal to (or worse than!) Lydden.
Not a bad start to the season for Timerzyanov, looks like another bad day for Jeanney though: he was flying in the heats, but lagging in the A Final? Not a great weekend for Foust either!

Comments on Facebook seem to indicate he went off on the first corner? Damage sustained affected the steering?

Fantastic weekend! Procter's and Tohill's fantastic wins more than made up for the weather. In answer to your query about conditions, tbtstt, I'd say they were worse on Saturday than any point at Lydden but the track seemed a lot better on Sunday and the sun even came out. The car park (field) and the pits however were in a dreadful state. They need to invest in some tarmac as it was a quagmire.
Cannot believe that Kevin won. Watching it just in front of his team, with Dave Bellerby shouting instructions, made the experience even better. Real shame that we had to exit quickly to catch the train! Just like to say that there isnt a more deserving Brit to have won. Kev always has time to come out and speak to the fans, even leaving his garage and crew just to have a chat with me. Really happy for him and his team looked totally overjoyed.
Well done Derek too. Not sure how he beat the much quicker Marklund fiesta, but fantastic drive.

Yeah, the paddock looks awful, in some of the pictures of the team garages you can't see where the mud finishes and the floor of the garage starts!
Great to see the Xsara get such a high finish as well: theres life in the old girl(s) yet!

There'd have been a lot more life in it if Laboulle didnt run pretty much flat out into Grossis-Janin in the A final. I think he may well have been on for a win (but is very lucky not to have been excluded).

Saw that in the video, looked like it might just have been a bad line rather than an intentional punt?
You were there though, did it look like a deliberate ram to you?

It happened pretty quickly and the conditions off-line looked really slippery, so maybe it was just him getting it all wrong. From where we were standing, it looked like he went into that corner with twice as much speed as anyone else and was very fortunate that Grossis-Janin was in the way!
talking of deliberate punts though, are there any videos of Patrick Mertens driving full pace into Koen Pauwels in the A Final, then getting out and cheering and taking the plaudits of the crowd? What a [insert swear-word here].

Well it looks like Mertens was exlcuded from the results (I haven't seen the incident but did wonder what had happened to get him excluded).

Looking at one of the other angles...

...looks like he might have been caught by Hvaal? As you say though, lucky for him that Grossis-Janin caught him (not so lucky for Grossis-Janin to be in the way though!)

What an event!! Thoroughly enjoyed yet another trip across to France, despite the rain and the rather poor running of the event.
Anyhow, cheering Kev on in all three finals while the French just stood and watched really was quite something. My voice is only just recovering now. Great result for Derek too who looked for all the world slower than Marklund and yet did brilliantly to hold him off.
One thing that hasn't yet been mentioned was the way in which Walfridsson conducted himself in the C final, in complete contract to all the other times that we have seen him. He seemed on a mission to wipe Koutny out at all costs playing bumper cars with quarter of a million pound machinery, only to end up in the barrier himself. He also spun Kev around in one of the heats when Kev was really sideways struggling for grip.

Yeah Mr Tony Sutton likes to wind up the French by cheering everyone else on when there ahead of one of there countryman, always good sport.
Perhaps Stig has got the hump still after what a certain driver got away with in the first round.

I dont think that Liam's move on Stig (assuming we are talking about the overtake into Paddock) was that bad at Lydden. Certainly no worse than 80% of the stuff that happened in Dreux.
