Peugeot exits Le Mans racing
Quote:
The situation is different when compatriot Henri Pescarolo. "For me it's still not sure. I still negotiating with sponsors," the Le Mans legend on demand.
"I know that now remain only two weeks left to the citation," added the Frenchman, "but I want to get the best. My dream would be to let go of two brand new LMP1 cars in the entire World Cup. This is an option from the show but in the coming days, must how realistic it is. Such contacts are there. " What he LMP1 cars would use the most, Pescarolo was still a secret.

I think there are some big LMP1 announcements coming one way or another towards the end of the month.

Ohhh! So it was this site! As i remember they wrote first (and they were almost the only one) that the 90X will be a petrol one... I don't believe them any more, i'm sorry.
Peugeot wants to win at LM, so i think there will be 2 factory cars, 1 hybrid, and 1 costumer (or the hybrid goes to the costumer, but it would be quite unbelievable). And, yes, me too, i would bet on Pesca.
And i would bet, they will go to WEC with 2 cars, and the hybrid will join them at some races (Spa for ex.). If it goes well for the HY4, probably it will appear at more races.
If Pug have the 2012 money already, i don't see any reason why to go to LM with only 1 real factory car. And i think they have that money.

Seems to be legitimate.
This definitely puts a damper on proceedings.

Well this basically hands the WEC title and Le Mans podium on a platter to Audi.

Hard to believe but this looks official: http://www.autohebdo.fr/endurance/le...te-l-endurance
P2 is gonna be full of privateers this year. Sad that nothing was done to make P1 the class where everything is wide open they could have entered. Oh well, it all didn't matter and everything was rosy until this one small announcement. Single digits P1 entrants all year, youpi.
