So, these are the results of the 2012 Detroit Grand Prix:
o- Polesitter: Dixon (2 to 1)
o- Fast Six: Dixon (2 to 1), Power (2 to 1), Tagliani (20 to 1), Pagenaud (5 to 1), Viso (20 to 1), Hunter-Reay (5 to 1)
o- Win: Dixon (2 to 1)
o- Podium: Dixon (2 to 1), Franchitti (2 to 1), Pagenaud (5 to 1)
o- Top 5: Dixon (2 to 1), Franchitti (2 to 1), Pagenaud (5 to 1), Power (2 to 1), Servià (10 to 1)
o- Top 10: Dixon (2 to 1), Franchitti (2 to 1), Pagenaud (5 to 1), Power (2 to 1), Servià (10 to 1), Kanaan (5 to 1), Hunter-Reay (5 to 1), Kimball (20 to 1), Conway (100 to 1), Tagliani (20 to 1)
The optimal bets were Dixon for the win ($ 600), Tagliani or Viso for the top 20 ($ 2,000), Dixon for the win ($ 2,000), Pagenaud for the top 5 ($ 1,500), Servià for the top 10 ($ 1,000) and Conway for the top 10 ($ 3,000), totalling a maximum of $ 10,100 - although you couldn't pick Dixon for both the pole and win.
NaBUru38 earned $ 600 for picking Dixon for the pole. Marcostraz chose Hunter-Reay for the Fast Six, whereas Daisy and NaBUru38 selected Pagenaud, so the three got $ 500. Nobody went for Dixon for the win. Daisy and Mythoughtsareracing picked Dixon for the podium and NaBUru38 selected Franchitti, so the three earned $ 600. Nobody chose a top 5 finisher correctly. NaBUru38 got $ 300 for betting Servià for the top 10, whereas Daisy cashed $ 3,000 after selecting Conway.
So here's the 2012 Bet'Em IndyContest results at Detroit.
1st - Daisy: 0 + 500 + 0 + 600 + 0 + 3,000 = 4,100
2nd - NaBUru38: 600 + 500 + 0 + 600 + 0 + 300 = 2,000
3rd - Mythoughtsareracing: 0 + 0 + 0 + 600 + 0 + 0 = 600
4th - Marcostraz: 0 + 500 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 500
Daisy's gamble for Conway gave her the lead over a consistent NaBUru38, and collected her third 2012 win. Mythoughtsareracing and Marcostraz suffered from the potholes and debris, leaving with one correct pick out of six. Mythoughtsareracing had never cashed under $ 3,000, so the money gap on Daisy gets increased a lot.
Current standings after Detroit round 6:
1st - Daisy: $ 38,500
2nd - Mythoughtsareracing: $ 25,540
3rd - WAT: $ 23,000
4th - NaBUru38: $ 18,400
5th - Marcostraz: $ 14,110
6th - Chiana: $ 5,400
7th - Flyin Ryan: $ 2,900
8th - Barnett: $ 2,400
See you at Texas!
