fr3.5 spa
up next immediately on the fr3.5 calendar is spa...
...anyone want to put any bets on? can sam bird continue his winning ways? or is it about time bianchi owned everyone? will sorensen and his aggressive driving style do well? or how about stanaway - he won in gp3 here last year... will dams and arthur pic be back on the pace?
what *will* we see?
so many questions

as this will be his "home" track where he has been succesfull before, Robin Frijns will return to his winning ways!

I think Bird and Bianchi will continue to be a cut above the rest around here. Hopefully Rossi too.

I think it was track knowledge that helped them at Monaco, but having said that they'll still be in the mix, just not so easily. Frijns and Magnussen should bounce back and it will be interesting to see if Rossi and Arden Caterham will be fast again Williamson is unexpectedly slow, easily outpaced by people who he has beaten last season and Dr. Marko must be getting impatient! Aleshin is slowly moving forward with their new team, so might spring a surprise if conditions are mixed.

glad someone else noticed williamson - part of it is down to have a first year team, surely?
not sure about aleshin and rfr. were there that many technical changes from last season? i know there's at least one engineer still there - on that basis perhaps they should be a little more competitive than they are?

ghirelli binned it/stopped with an issue.
forgot about rosenzweig, he's traditionally pretty quick around spa (pole for carlin in 2010?). could be a frontrunner again in the races.

it was damp this morning i believe, but it's dry now. wickens' pole time last year was 2m02.8 so they're 4 seconds faster almost exactly as it stands. i was expecting quicker but i'm not sure why!
not sure when/how/who they're running with drs in the tests though. it's difficult to tell what a genuine all out laptime is with the slightly open ended drs rules.

58.0 is the ideal lap with the best sectors and it's quicker than the current GP2 car, but the old 2008 chassis has managed 54.9 for 2009 qualy with Parente. Surely there's more time to be found, 3 sec off this pole time for Friday testing isn't bad at all.

With both Rossi and Williamson having struggles, I'm starting to think Arden is the problem.
