Maybe it's time for the Sentinel system like used in the Dakar rally. This system is warning a competitor when a faster car is approaching.

Ever wonder where Audi got their "innovative" rear view mirror system from?

Really thought 2 hours or more to get everything rebuilt and replaced, excellent work by the track workers there

Keep seeing the replays of that and I do wonder if there will be calls to review the fins and holes on the cars, it appears as though the Toyota didn't really properly start to take off until it was sideways on, would that have been caused by the little bit of air already underneath the car at that point? Shouldn't the new rules/fins combat that anyway?

You can tell from the interview that he knows hes in the wrong but doesn't want to admit it.

What a poor human being... how hard would it have been to say "I'm sorry"?
No class at all, disgusting.

Precisely. The system doesn't need changing, some drivers just need to wake up. Without the 'gentleman' drivers we wouldn't have Le Mans, but there is still no place for dangerous driving. There should be off-putting penalties for drivers who do cause such incidents, but don't discourage amateur drivers in the process.

if were "good" drivers surely won't have the bronze status... about bills i disagree... even small teams like JLOC, spyker squadron, JMB etc... are able to pay bills to join the race.
Think that: ok, 6-7 years ago gt3 cars have born as pro/am drivers category, but times change... as shown during blancpain race of silverstone, the z4 gt3 scored a pole with a time of almost 2 seconds better than the gt-pro pole of 2011 ILMC race marked by m3 gt... so performance is not a problem! electronic helps shouldn't be too, because can be switched off (gte cars have electronics help too btw). With the entry of gt3 cars we will have a GTE class with porsche (felbermayr), ferrari (af corse), aston martin (AMR) and chevrolet (corvette racing) official teams while a GT3 class with good, competitive and known teams like mvds, vita4one, hexis etc.... and official/backed teams like phoenix or schubert. All these cars ran by pro drivers.

Clearly, there needs to be a better rookie testing program. And the driver ranking system needs some work also.
The bill-payers have to be balanced against one simple fact. It won't matter who might be paying the bills if one of these drivers causes an accident that gets the whole thing shut down. There are certainly places where, if another car gets launched like that, it could very possibly end up in one of the enclosures; it almost happened last year with McNish.

What happened to Greaves Motorsport... they were doing really well but since Brundle handed over to Ordonez they're now at 16th in class?

This is like the complete opposite to the Rob Kauffman incident in regards to driver attitudes
