Hot rod racing Tony Marren

Hello guys.

I am currently in the process of restoring an Ex BSCC MK3 RS1600i Escort. Tony Marren owned and raced the car in Modified saloons in the late 1980's.

Would anybody know how to contact him as I would like to find out more about the cars history?

I raced with Tony Marren a couple of times, i remember the car to have a 1900cc engine,was fast. He came from Chigwell, East London and his mate Mark Charles/Homer had owned the car briefly,try Pete Winstone or Burton Engineering who might be able to help.

I've got a picture of that car at Druids somewhere.
Never realised it was ex BTCC.

Wasn't Tony an ex Hot Rod driver ?

Blimey, that's a name from the past as I remember racing with him in Hot Rods in about 1972 along with Pete Winstone.
As this is 40 years ago he must be an old duffer like me
