Ask questions and have lots of donuts to tempt out the vary rare spices known as oultonous parkus marshals.

Is a donut (pr. doo-nut) anything like a doughnut? If so I don't like them. Bring alternative treats as well. Pork pies are good...

Ah right. Yeh, the drivers get a bit hungry when on track so if they see a pork pie they're normally so ravenous they try to eat it .. without exiting the car

Good work Mike. I shall save you one if they arrive with us.

We also like confectionry and biscuits. Fire 1 and 2 (pickups) love the sweets

Seriously, have a read of the other thread, as has been mentioned. It's very important to listen to Nadine for safety too. You'll have a brilliant day.

Enjoy the day !

Always face the oncoming traffic!

Ask questions (no matter how daft they may seem to you, there are no daft questions!)

Take a good pair of boots/socks and try and sit down when you can (during the intervals when the cars are NOT on track!) your feet will thank you at the end of the day

Try not to wear anything that might be confused with flag colours (you'll be given a orange tabbard to wear)

Did I mention Enjoy the day !?

There'll be a lot going on, so don't worry about that for the moment, just keep yourself safe (watch the on coming traffic!) and listen to the more experienced guys around you - the rest will come the more times you come along

I've been doing this for years now and am still learning things

Hope this helps

My tips would be..... 1/ Listen to Nadine, you will learn a lot {no matter how much you already know}.

2/ Remember the day!......it will seem like years ago this time next season.

3/Prepare yourself to meet the finest, funniest and warm mates you will ever have { sounds corny......but its true}.

4/ Most of all......Have a blast and Get involved!!!!!!.

See you soon ......Dave.

Wow. Staple donut. You're a hard, hard man - I far prefer jam or custard in mine!
