Steering Wheel Throws

Hamilton's steering wheel throw at the European GP reminded me of another great moment in F1... My previous favourite steering wheel throw.

Personally, I quite enjoy Webber's technique as it is really very emotive and, I would assume, destructive. However Hamilton really manages some distance from out of the cockpit, giving the perception of it being ejected from the car.

Which is your pick?

Feel free to share any other examples of quality steering wheel throws...

NOTE: Watch right to the end of the Webber clip for some classic Brundle...

Hope Ron takes the cost out of his wages! Pratt!

Surely, the best has to be Barrichello, Monaco 2010, who threw his steering wheel out and it got dragged half way round the circuit by both HRT's

This one?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3wmx_ohceA

The throw itself was more of a flick out the side, without the style of the other two. However, it was the accuracy, the placement (ie. the racing line) that was special...

Good call V.

How about another Hammy one (the boy gets plenty practice at this) - this from Singapore 2010 after a clash with Mark Webber...

Amazing how resilient the wheels are, after Williams received it back they put it back on the car and it worked without an issue.

I guess you'd expect a level of product quality for the price...

It seems Lewis is a big fan of the forward launch technique - now having seen two impressive examples...

It was the only real technical update that the HRT's had for that year.

I seem to remember Mika doing a pretty mean one at Monza. Poor sod.

Schumacher's here from Australia 1998 is better than either of Hamilton's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4i5tl3jRtc

I would have gone for the whack it down on the ground personally instead of just releasing it into the air.

What about Vettel's glove throw? Not a patch on Hakkinen's from was it Imola or Monza!?

Possibilities of a trade off here.
Hammy wants his trophies, dare say Ron would like his steering wheels. Pristine.
