Amazing how fast the mechanics are.
I've seen a lot of pit stops on TV but they are always zoomed in, during the European GP I was able to see the pit stops live at a close range and it's amazing how fast they are. The Lotus mechanics were fast but the Ferrari mechanics were even faster.

Welcome to Ten-Tenths Mackar.
It's so quick, it's like sleight of hand.

Humans. They can do amazing things... specially when things go wrong.

Thank you. I've been reading here for a while and finally registered yesterday. I've had a timeout from F1 for 3-4 years but now it's really fun to watch the races again so I'm back to F1. Saw the European GP live and have booked tickets for Austin

That would be great. I hope so.
Tickets still need to be organised though before I can say anything 'for sure'.

Not to take anything away from the F1 mechanics but I've always found the pistops in CART/IndyCar pretty amazing considering they only have one mechanic per tyre.

I don't think there's anything amateurish in getting a car refueled and re-shod in 8.5 seconds. IndyCar has a different way of doing things from F1 and I like and appreciate that difference.

I was going to stay with relatives in Houston, but I'm not paying the ridiculous amounts of travel insurance they want for someone who is currently "a high risk because you are disabled."
