Race Results for the 1991 Nürburgring 24 Hour Race

All,

I have found via YouTube (dont ask, its a long story), that my car might have competed in Group N of the Nürburgring 24 hour race in the 1991. I think it is the bright green E30 M3 with a horrible yellow grill in the video below, about 14 seconds in:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfzDWIhHFIo

It is shown again in the following video, from about 39 seconds in:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0tcml10EDE

I cant read the race numbers from the videos on line, but I will try to order the DVD's directly so and hope I can get a good view of the car and its number, so I can cross referance it to an entry list and find out who entered it and drove it.

Problem is, I have really struggled to find any entry list/results for the Nürburgring 24 hour race for that long ago.

Can any one on here point me in the right direction?

Regards

Rob

I am not sure on said car being a Group N car, it's pretty much at the top of the grid.

My guess would be that this is one of the 1990 Tauber DTM cars, they ran those colours on 2 cars 1990. For 1991 they switched to a sole car, so the one in the 1991 24h race could be the second one, which was either sold or run in the VLN championship.

Hi T-Man,

Many thanks for answering.

I wish it was one of the Tauber cars, but sadly its not. That green is much darker than the colour on my car.

If you watch the second video at about 26 seconds in the anouncer says something like "three minutes later, the next group starts ....<something I cant catch> ...group N cars" (sorry my German is really rusty), and then what I think is my car crosses the line.

Any ideas where I can get the entry list for the 1991 race?

Thanks again

Rob

Hello Highside,

if you are talking about the mint-coloured M3 with the Fruits-design in the frontwindow.
This car drove also at the VLN-Championchips in 1990. Just the grill was coloured in a neon-red.

Scholl/Lautner/Jelinowski

The owner of the car was Ingo Jelinowski.
his job was something with fruits in cologne.
thats the reason of the big "fruits"-sticker in the window
