The straights on the test oval are 2300m long. The turns have a 43-degree bank to them.
Interestingly, even with the chicanes in place, the endurance course is still in violation of the 2km limit on straights in the FIA regulations.
(Of course, for those who remember, the test oval is also known for a very unfortunate, though not heavily publicized reason; it's where Michele Alboreto had the testing crash in an Audi R8 back in 2001.)

My dream track would have Brands Hatch Paddock Hill Bend - Graham Hill Bend, Small straight into Laguna Seca That well cambered corner before Corkscrew - Last corner. Then a longer straight into the Poulon(?) corner at Spa then a little straight to the Monza Parabolica and then a long flat out-section before Eau Rouge than a tiny little straight and a small chicane before coming through Clearways from Brands Hatch to complete the loop!

^ Ahh Pouhon. It can frankly be called anything it is a great corner. I think that flat-out section after Parabolica can have the Nordschliefe Karussel worked in there, and then a back to front version of Istanbul's turn 8 to get them back in the right direction.

Trees really help. Spa, great place to race.
Pouhon? Better than Eau Rouge

As mentioned earlier, I'd LOVE to see a track with Watkins Glen's uphill esses and then a straight, followed by Road Atlanta's downhill esses.

To me the whole track , and its surroundings are important ..... even the food stands , cuz its all goes together to make for a good weekend .
You can argue all you want is a track with good corners , whats differant to a go-kart track then apart from the length ?
Scenery isnt inportant , it is for me as is elevation changes , then we get corners like Eau Rouge and the CorkScrew ..... nothing like standing in the Forest in the middle of night on Mulsanne watching a car come shooting down through the trees like some kinda confused christmas tree .
Everything goes to give a track character , track , trees , food , elevation and the people at it .
One of my all time favourite tracks is Brands Hatch , seen battles with F1 in the 70's , sportscars in the 80's , BMW Procar , the big Rover V8's , Spice Capri's in the good old BTCC ...... its got great lines , trees , elevation changes and a good assortment of unhealthy food and berevages that all go together .
If its so not on the sportscar list now , how the hell could it have managed Group C ? Love to see Brands back again , cool track .

You make a good point about food stands. I like the convenience, the quality and the people from the local church that run the stand in the paddock at Elkhart. The picnic tables around the back in the pine tree grove are nice too. Plus it's nice after the day's work is over to stop at the Gearbox and have a beer on your way out.

Case in point about food stands: Spa. It almost felt like a different track with the wooden huts gone this year.

There is a housing estate near the track, I'm not sure if its new or has always been there and people have only started complaining in the last few years. But anyway it has a noise curfew now so you can't race there between something like 10am and 6pm, which would make it impractical for endurance racing. I assume thats why anyway. They still have GT sprint races there, the GT open goes.
