MitchZ06 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
According to Watson they use carbon brakes on GT3s, who knew?

Some great racing today, would have deserved a better crowd, though.

Also, I was freezing my a## off, especially on the roofed grand stands. Couldn't have been much over ten degrees - but close to 20°C once we were out of the Eifel. A night race at this time of the year would definitely be a bad idea.

It was mentioned on the PA, though, that they are looking into running the race on the Nordschleife next year.

Good to see Nissan winning into the PRO-AM and MVDS so close to the title, though the SLS has been quite performant lastsly, and Audi too unperformant on the same way.

Lets see if the next year everything is even better with more brands like Bentley and any american in developement cars like Viper, Corvette or Camaro.

Carbon disks aren't allowed in GT3, even the shots of the brakes (ironically when Watson was talking about it) clearly showed steel disks.

Sad to see Max Martin's defence finally breached, but there was an air of inevitability... No drivers titles for MVDS, but they collect the Team Prize as compensation.

At least The Lad got SOMETHING nice to write up.

It did seem like there were fights happening all the way throughout the field, from start to finish. Though I was watching the stream on a laptop whilst laying bricks... GT3 does produce close racing.

Maxime was never going to keep the SLS behind, but it showed how good he is that he was able to spot that move over and over again.

A few of those drivers need a stern talking too after this weekend though...

Some cars actually have ceramic discs listed as their choice of brakes in their spec sheets. The Audi f ex.

Congrats to the HTP crew on winning the Nurburgring 914k and congrats to Max Buhk on winning the championship. In a class of their own, they would have been 3/3 in winning BES races if it wasn't for the door problem at Paul Ricard.

They were so much quicker than the other cars that I can't help thinking that the SLS slipped through the fingers a bit when it comes to BoP. Until their arrival in BES, there haven't been one single well-run and -driven SLS there, so there's been pressure to give it some help. Now a good team with a top driver line-up came in and swept the floor with everyone else. I find this a bit shame for the other teams, especially the top full-season entrants, but in the end it's not the fault of HTP and Buhk, so congratulations to them for the win(s) and title.

I am not so sure if that was because of the BoP or rather because Bernd Schneider is just that good... Might be they had backed off a bit, but when Maxi Götz's was in the car for the second time, the Esta Ferrari had no problem staying with the SLS for practically the whole stint.

Also, a lot of the top cars shot themselves in the foot quite badly, and the BMW is just a horrible car in traffic.
