Because McLaren haven't offered a GTD spec car. The 12C GT3 has ABS and TCS, both of which aren't allowed in GTD, McLaren is however working on a GTD spec 12C but it's not yet available. There is also considerable interest in running McLarens in America....

I don't think it will be a 12C as information came out this week about it being discontinued and not built alongside the 650S. Seems orders for the 650S have made the 12C redundant. Plus, late this year or early next we will get our first look at their "entry level" car.

McLaren started work on the 12C GTD spec before 650S debuted, however under the skin the 650S and 12C are quite similar and for GT purposes the chassis itself will be retained with a new front end and other bodywork from the 650S used. P13 won't be used for GT racing as far as I've been told.
