Alain was a great driver, no question. However, I suspect his managerial/influencing skills appear somewhat lacking (at least to me). The same thing happened to Emerson, who had oodles of money but got nowhere. Only two F1 drivers, to my knowledge, ever succeeded in creating an F1 team, both antipodeans, and both with great charm and people skills.
I find it very sad that Alain, with the customer Ferrari engine, and good drivers, can't get the car to go properly. Does anyone know the real reason why Diniz left him?
