Respect for DC.

Hi guys,

I am new to this board and i think that this board
has very good subjects. I am a very big DC fan for
almost 6 years now. DC is a genuine driver. His
driving style is always to the max.

But what I always understand from Not DC fans is that
they rather hate him then like him.

I respect every race driver out there in this
Formula 1 circuit. From Micheal to Jaques
to Webber. But it seems to me that David doesn't
get the respect he deserves from other fans. That
is just unfair.

Let's remember that DC is with 12 GP Wins the second
man with the most wins out there. Anyone can come
with arguments, but that's just a fact.

Well, that is kind of my opening speech to this
forum. Jejeje. I hope we can discuss much more
things in the future together.

You'll find fans of almost every driver here (well, we're scraping the barrel with Yoong ) and most are passionate.

Rogilio, welcome. I'm another admirer of DC, and I think his drives in the last couple of races should have made the critics fairly quiet -- mature, quick, tactically clever and absolutely error-free. I think a great many people underestimate how hard it is to put together a race like that. Other drivers do it, too -- M Schumacher, for instance -- and I find it admirable. But DC also seems like a really decent guy, and that makes me all the more eager to see him do well.

I'm delighted, also, to see you express admiration for all the drivers; around here, there is some sentiment that to admire one entails disliking or trashing another, which I don't think is necessary.

Generally in this forum, all drivers are respected. Unfortunately one or another would come with such disrespect, but the marjority makes the common sense prevail.

DC is good but being team-mates with Mika H over the years made him look not so good cus Hakk was rather special wasnt he? DC may not have had the talent of Hakkinen but his drive in Monaco shows that he is a racer and his steel cannot be questioned. good on him.

By the way, I think Raikkonen is making him look bad.

I think Raikkonen needs to be in F1 at least another year to make DC look bad. He still didn't win a GP yet.

Raikkonen does seem to have speed and manages to outqualify Dc by a small amount with some frequencey. What matters is when the flag drops. DC is still the better driver and the better racer.

He's a better interview and spokesman as well.

And (now that I'm on my high horse)DC IS getting better every year and the youthful flubs seem to be past him.

A driver who has also been with a front running car for the last 6 years and as you stated scored only 12 wins.
To have respect for a driver they first have to earn it both on and off the track however Coulthard simply misses out on too much criteria to make him a World Champion and to have the full support of people on this thread.
