cos should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
German F3 the other week

Haven't seen this mentioned here so I thought I'd bring it up.. the other week at the Lausitzring Gary Paffett was (wrongly) given a stop/go penalty during the race for overtaking under the safety car after he stalled on the dummy grid. After a protest from his team, the organisers scratched all points from that round.

Does this set a precedent of some sort? To me it seems like annulling a stage of the Tour de France just because a cyclist hit a spectator or something.

It's the easiest way to end the controversy - imagine if the results had stood and Paffett had lost the title by just a handful of points. There would have been some mightily annoyed people...

I think it's a positive step................

yes, but what do the ther drivers care? if you are driving a good race and didnt do anything baddly, why they take tha points of you?, the person that did the mistake shouyld pay the cost for everybody, if not is fair to Paffet and totally unfair to the rest... that means that unless the race is fair to everybody it doesent count at all... it crazy

But at least it keeps it all correct , even if it has angered some other people.
