What's the worst car you've driven?
Inspired by the 'First Car' thread (especially Rich's Talbot Horizon )....
What is the worst thing you've ever had the misfortune to drive? Doesn't have to have been yours - could be a hire car, your Dad's, your (ex)mate's...
Funnily enough, for me it was either my mate's Talbot Horizon (sorry Rich), or the Austin Metro the insurance company gave me after I binned the Senator. Never let it be said that people who work in insurance don't have a sense of humour...
By the way, no need for Messrs Irvine and Webber to respond - I think we know already....

Vauxhall once gave me an Agila as a courtesy car - it's frightening having to take something like that on the motorway.

apologies to it, but my current little suzuki sj413. it's great, but hell, it's awful. it won't do more than 45mph (see signature..) without going asthmatic, and rattles like hell. there's a hole in the back of it, and it's about to fall apart.
however, according to mackmot, it's not too bad to sleep in.

I've driven two Hyundai hire cars... they share the award.
The first one I actually managed to break, which I was rather proud of myself for

one of my worst was a 1995 1.1 Fiesta hire car, not such a bad car but 0 to 60mph in 5 years zzzzzz.
Biggest pile of poo was an early dawoo hire car, lots of features, but everything seemed so cheap and plasticy.

Or maybe the Ford Focus we had a test drive in last year.
After a couple of hair pins my wife almost threw up ...
(Those same hair pins proved no problem in a VW Golf, Renault Megane, Citroen Xsara, Citroen C5, Volvo V40, Skoda Fabia and Skoda Octavia).

Hmm...a few to choose from.
Holden Barina (nee Corsa - previous generation) - driven a few of these and every single one has had awful brakes. The pedal went almost to the floor before working. Not to mention the Huntsman spider in one of the hire cars.
Mazda 121 hire car - Not that it was an awful car in itself, but the tyres had about 10psi in them and I almost had two accidents. One was braking hard at about 80km/h and it just locked up and started to turn. Off the brakes and slowly drove into the service station at the next block to find out about the lack of air pressure.
Mercedes-Benz A140 (sorry Crash) - had one of these for a couple of days. Had a bad back for a week. It at least did some things quite well, unlike the previous two I've mentioned.
Ford Festiva - Dirt road, slight bend, around she went all by herself.
And finally, a Holden Torana my sister owned - Just not looked after before she bought it. Was attempted to be stolen but the theives gave up half way out the driveway. Luckily I didn't have to drive that one.

Pffftttt to you Elephino
I'm with Craig- I had a Hyundai driving school car. It handled like a brick, and you would have to pump the accelerator, which is a scary though...

The Corsa I drove recently gets the award for worst handling, my old 1965 Landrover gets the award for being uncomfortable (but it came with a very high "Grin Factor") my mk4 Escort gets the Least Reliable award....
but the overall "worst all-round" goes to a hired Hyundai! They have some catching up to do before I'll be prepared to want one!

I know what you mean on that one. The first time I took a Corsa out on a test drive I just assumed, brand new car, its brakes will be better than on the Nova I had at the time. Wrong, I pressed the brake pedal and found it an awful long way down before it actually did anything. Completely overshot a road junction, so was very glad there was no traffic around at that point.
