Yoong Montoya should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
If you could change one F1 result from each year from 1996 onwards...

...which ones would you choose? Here are the ones I would go for and why:

1996: Damon at Monaco (Damon never won Monaco and he deserved to win this race)

1997: Damon at Hungaroring (Damon drove out of his skin that day in the Arrows Yamaha and so nearly created a significant piece of F1 history)

1998: M Schumacher at Spa (If M Schumacher had won that one, he might have won the WDC because Hakkinen would probably have a point deficit to Schumacher come Suzuka)

1999: Badoer at Nurburgring (Badoer drove brilliantly in the wet, working his way up to 4th, and if he had finished there, it would have been his and Minardi's best ever result)

2000: Monaco (Trulli lead that race from pole and looked like winning until his engine let go. He deserved to win that race)

2001: Spain (Poor Hakkinen's engine exploded on the final lap when he was half a minute ahead of M Schumacher. What a shame, he truly deserved that win)

2002: Austria (Just because it would have been nice to see Rubens win for a change)

now, in 2000 Trulli didn't lead from pole, because he didn't get pole and he didn't lead.

Must admit that this was my very first thought. I'd also change any race that Juan Pablo was leading where his engine let go. (and Brazil '01 of course!!)

Can only think of one that I would like to have changed in the last few years & with hindsight, could have possibly prevented all the shenanigans that are going on in the team at the moment. Ferrari at Austria? - no chance, it has to be Damon driving the Arrows at Hungaroring in 97. I'm not grieving for Damon because he was already a world champion, but the failure of that seal worth about 30 pence of your English money, could have, and probably would have, made all the difference to a team still to score a maiden victory in all the years they have been F1 competitors & could possibly have prevented the predicament they find themselves in. Besides that it was one of the best races that Hungary's apology for an F1 circuit has produced!

If pushed to provide you with the other 4 results that I would like changed - just perm any 4 from TGF's catalogue of wins - great driver, poor politician, poor loser, poor team-mate, poor viewers trying to get a grasp of F1 on the telly, poor driving standards (when his back is to the wall, just ask Damon & Jacques, maybe Kimi) & poor, no , sorry, very rich & healthy bank balance. Hint of jealousy in this post - you bet!

1996: Barrichelo on Brazilian GP. He could finish 3rd in that race.
1997: Damon in Hungary (let him win).

1996: I'd prefer to see Alesi win at Monaco.

1997: Damon at the Hungaroring for sure. He certainly was robbed of a fantastic first victory for the Arrows squad. However, I wouldn't mind changing Trulli to winning in Austria. Now THAT would have been a result!

1998: Fisichella losing out to Schumacher at Canada. Fisi was spectacular there, led for a long time, but he couldn't hold on.....shame......

1999: Sentimentality - Badoer at Nurburgring. Drove the race of his life to get into fourth position, and would easily have finishing there, only for his gearbox to fail.

2000: Hakkinen in Spain. 'Nuff said.

2001: JPM leading, but retiring, in Brazil, Germany, USA etc. Brazil I'd certainly like to change. He had the race in the bag, Germany as well though.

I'd rather see the referee award the penalty try to the Wallabies at Christchurch because if Herbert had not been tackled without the ball the Wallabies would definitely have scored, and won the game.

Benny Elias to go for the try instead of the field goal attempt in the 1989 ARL Grand Final against Canberra. Balmain eventually lost in extra time 19-12. I was heartbroken for days.....

Hmm...

Japan 1997 (that was a set up race!) and Germany 1998/2001 (I wish first two went out)
