Agree on 70s Club Racing, not sure about the music, at least until 77 when the Pistols came around, followed by the Clash, Buzzcocks, Squeeze, etc etc, and best of all time, The Jam.
As for Superloons, well, just fantastic. I've not started the MS article yet, looking forward to it6 tho', esp if MAWP has written it. Those Top Trump pics on the 1st page bring back great memories, the Blue/Orange Capri thats in there, no 22. Anyone know who/what it was ? It intrigued me then, still does now.

Dan,
No. 22 at the 1975 GP support race was Jeff Ward's Capri. Listed at 3100cc in the prog., so I assume RS3100 based. Can't remember off-hand, I must admit.

Jeremy, I don't remember this car at all, was it Jeff Ward the Leicester 1-litre Imp man ? If so I think it must have been a one-off drive, as I never saw him out in anything like that before or after that date. If so, who's car was it do you know ?

I only read the articles last night, and was a little disappointed.
The DTV/Marshall one I thought was very scanty, and could have gone into much more detail on the cars/memories. Nothing at all on Bill Dryden's SMT car, was this Old Nail itself, updated ?
Anyone recall Eddie Heasell in the 2nd DTV car, was he the same chap who did F3 many years later ?
MAWP's Superloon one was also very brief I thought. Hardly a mention of Nick W, who from 74-77 was Gerry's/Bertha's biggest rival, and whose cars were, IMHO, the best turned out of them all, not to say consistently fastest - Berthas apart. Perhaps there's an article coming devoted to Nick, could be v interesting...

Thinking of buying this escort Mk2, only who's car was it originally? and anyone know what engine it had originally? Still haven't had an email reply from the owner but as I'm eager to find out more I thought I post here.

Still no one who knows which car it is?
Ps. Let me introduce myself I'm Kurt from Holland and have been following this topic for a while, and I found this car on one of the well known racing ad sites.

It does have similarities but the air inlet in front of the back wheels is much shorter. Very strange this car.

Eddie Heasel did indeed do F3 and also Monoposto, he has an electrical rewimd shop in Royston and was along with Gerry Marshal the second driver of the Shaw & Kilburn Viva s, before going to DTV.
