Too expensive, poor grids, no feeder for F1, outdated cars, far too expensive engines, poor gearboxes with many breakdowns.
Just look at the entry it is a joke. get rid of it and let new series fill the gap.
Good move of Astromega go for Renault V6 it will be the future for sure with someone like Renault in the background

maybe int 3000 could die in one or two years... but who is just die is the euro3000... i think the season will not start because a lack of drivers. if int 3000 have problems, then imagine the eruo3000. too much avalaible cars between WS and renault V6, and of best quality and low cost.

And about other series filling the gap, I think the more series there are, the more gaps there are. It's normal, the more series you have, eventually there is going to be a shortage of drivers, I mean, sponsors and scouts can't be at every event keeping an eye on future stars don't you agree?

F3000 sure helped guys like Montoya Bruno J and Bourdais in CART. It taught them to get up to speed immediately, look at how Sebastien is doing so far, he's been in th etop 3 of almost every single CART test

the low costs of TWS is said to be in the first 2 years only because it's sponsored big time right now and low costs means it gets big names as well as youngsters.

The moment the situation changes and it's not sponsored anymore as it is now, we'll probably see entry fees go up to levels like F3000.

Bruno Junquiera certainly didn't get up to speed straight away in CART, if his initial contract hadn't been for 2 years he would've lost his Ganassi drive for last year, and would probably be on the (single seater) scrapheap alongside other former F3000 frontrunners like Jorg Muller, Tomas Enge and Nicolas Minassion.

F3000 should be the lead feeder for F1, yet around half the F1 grid either never raced in it (including Schumacher, Villeneuve and Fisichella), or only got to F1 after doing something else, like Montoya and Da Matta.

The cars are not similar enough to F1 cars, compared to TWS and CART, and it ahs too many sponsored guys who belong at a lower level.

Probably more expensive now that CART has spec engines. F3000 needs to be carefully regulated so as to keep it similar to F1 in terms of the skill needed to succeed. Right now the cars handle differently, the lack of track time hampers rookies too much, and the races are too processional as its hard to overtake.

the cost of F3000 engine is 33.000 pounds sterling for 3200 km that makes approx just under 100.000 sterling for the year just on the engine.

And whilst merging these various Formula, which I think is a great idea, make sure the new version is called Formula Two.If anyone on this forum can remenber the old F2 of the seventies and eighties they'll know just what a fantastic category it was.All the great drivers did F2, it was virtually impossible to by-pass it if you wanted to get to F1.Clark,Hill,Laffite,Arnoux,Jarier,Patrese,Rosberg,
Bellof,Peterson,Mansell,Thackwell,Depailler,Cevert, the list is endless.The cars were fabulous and raced on proper circuits like the old Nurburgring,Rouen,Mugello,Enna,Pau etc.Why it was ever scrapped I'll never know.Bring back F2 and give us some 'real' circuits to go with it !!! F3000 just isn't in the same league.
