Stop unfair play !!!
As you know here on this forum some people use knowledge of other members of 10 Tenths Motorsport Forum to win prizes at Russian experts' quiz. It's unfair and dishonest method to find right answers. And first of all it's injustice to fair players, who try to find correct answers themselves.
This unfair play began at TNF, but then we wrote about this, they stopped to do it. But now they came here. And I want to ask members of this forum don't answer to of Kimi-Mik' and poorboy.
Thank you.

Not sure I understand this one, but I'll respond anyway! If you don't know the answer to something, surely you look for a suitable source of info, whether it a be a book, an individual or a website!

Any of those three are perfectly acceptable.
What is being questioned here is whether it's fair for someone to go to a forum of experts without admitting that they want the answer solely to win some sort of competition

Especially when the prize is, as I understand it, comparatively valuable. As some of you know, I was a joint winner in an 8W quiz - the only prizes were virtual trophies and we sprayed virtual champagne from a virtual podium! I had the satisfaction of knowing that I'd done ALL the research myself, in my own sources and on the net: I asked no-one anything! I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the hunt - as David says, and D-Type said elsewhere, if Kimi-Mika had been up front about this, then the unwitting would not waste their time unless they wanted to. More annoying still is the fact that some of these Russian quiz contestants even deny it when confronted! I'm quite happy to help anyone with genuine research, but I do draw the line here.

Obviously the poster doesn't realise that he actually isn't increasing his chances of winning, if anything he is decreasing them.
Not only does he get the answers but so does everyone else. That means will now be more correct entries and therefore he's reduced the chances of his entry being picked.
As someone has said in another thread when this has happened before people has resorted to posting incorrect answers. Would be a real shame if it was to come to that. There's enough half-truths, myths and mis-information in the Historic world as it is without adding to it.

The "incorrect" answers which are referred to were more like disinformation, and were very obvious to anyone with even a modicum of knowledge of the sport - just a way of indicating to the poster that they'd been rumbled.

Of course before they was told the answer they had no chance of winning because they would get it wrong. But it is a good point it does mean the odds of winning with correct answer get less favourable.
It is a shame is people do start lying , although hopefully we'll notice!

You mean Ottorino Volonterio did NOT win the 1956 Grand Prix du Rock?

What do you mean "correct" answers? Not if I've had anything to do with it.
