good fisi idea
hello chaps not sure if anyone has been talking about this but i think it would be cool to see Fisi next to Button at BAR next year. we all know Fisi is not a happy camper at Jordan and there's all types of jibberish sorrunding Villeneuve. I wouldn't mind seeing Jacques in Ferrari just to shut him up and see what he really can do...
Any other ideas???

I don't think GF would have much trouble pairing up against JB and winning. But the thing is, Sato, who GF trounced, will be next in line.

I think Fisco will wait to see if Jordon go through with the Merc deal.If the car becomes really competitive he will stay at Jordon or else it looks likely he will go to Sauber

I don't think the speed from the Ford engine is Jordans problem this year. The total lack of grip and traction along with no testing is the problem here. However, the cost of the engine isn't helping Jordan's development.

ohh yeah i forgot about sato. but i think going to sauber is another micky-mouse move he needs to get in a works team with a real engine (even though the engine sauber use is good it's not going to move him up the grid anytime soon like toyata and renault and probably doesn't have the same kind of funding.

The Jordan did look very unstable in comparison to the other cars, going through Chapel last weekend.

Picked this up from www.f1technical.net news section....
Since the start of the season Giancarlo Fisichella has set his goals high. Like every driver, he has wanted to race for topteams like Williams, Ferrari and Mclaren, sadly all of those teams have been out of the talented Italian's reach. Recently, Giancarlo has been rumored to be sniffing at Saubers front door. This week he even visited the team's facilities at Hinwill.
"There is no secret, we visited Sauber's facility last week," said
Fisichella's manager, Enrico Zanarini. Peter Sauber has been a fan of Fisichella and has openly addmitted that he would like to hire him for the next season.
For many of his fans, there would be no doubt for him to move to Sauber.
"My goal is still to go in one of the top three teams in F1. I would like to go to Sauber if Ferrari increases its implication with this team. However, I am still with Jordan and I am waiting for a confirmation from Eddie Jordan that Mercedes will power the EJ14. I will decide once I know all the elements" concluded Giancarlo. Wow that is interesting Jukebox...however Sauber isn't much of a step up from Jordan and Fisi deserves a much better car IMO.

Doesn't it seem sad that drivers like Fisichella, Coultard, Barrichello, and Ralf all have secure seats in F1, despite having had race winning cars for many more seasons than Jacques, yet failing to chalk up as many wins as he (let alone a WDC) that it is Jacques who doesn't have a drive in F1??? Sad indeed.

I have to say, that although Fisi is ranked highly (hear Inigo, hear) he has been blocked by the talented youngsters through out the years. He's thinking of getting into Sauber, aiming Ferrari, while Ferrari is (almost) certainly putting Massa back there to prepare the boy. He's thinking of staying at Jordan, aiming McLaren, while Ron has a champion-in-the-making (??? or already-made) with Kimi, and have eyes on Heidfeld.

Bon, there is room for Fisi at Mac. He can help Kimi become the driver everyone thinks he will be. I no longer believe there is room for him at Ferrari. As you say, Massa will take Barichello's spot.

Ok, how about this theory....
Enrico has close connection to Ferrari as he was Eddie Irvines manager, whilst Eddie was at Ferrari (and Jaguar). Sauber will proberbly still be using Ferrari engines next season (due to Jordan proberbly getting the Mercs), put Fisi in the Sauber for a season, Rubens contract ends at the finish of the 2004 season, Fisi is in the right place at the right time to fill the empty Ferrari seat!!
I have always maintained that Ferrari will never hire another Italian due to the politics involved, and i still believe that, but i had fun working out my theory all the same

mr. v., I think that's close to the truth, but the real catch is Massa in the second Sauber seat, thereby allowing Ferrari to have a head to head comparison between the two for 2005.
