Mid-Ohio First Quals

Canadian, Canadian, Canadian!
Tracy takes provisional pole by a good 0.273.

1 Tracy - 1:07.204
2 Tagliani
3 Carpentier
4 Dominguez
5 Jourdain
6 Bourdais
7 Servia
8 Moreno
9 Hunter-Reay
10 Manning
11 Junqueira
12 Fernandez
13 Monteiro
14 Vasser
15 Haberfeld
16 Papis
17 Lavin
18 Boss
19 Salles

Fifteen cars within one second!
Hope that keeps up for the entire weekend. I really don't want to see the cars get spread out again during the race, ala Vancouver.

Actually, no one is really that far off the pace. They're all within .27 of the guy in front of them.

I'd really like to see an all Canadian podium... just once...

Junqueira's back in 11th... It looks like Paul may be able to retake the lead with relative ease if he keeps it together, especially now that he's behind by only 2 points.

The important thing is that Junky is down in the order. You can't pass at Mid-Ohio so let's hope he get's his first mediocre result.

Boss indeed. In all seriousness, he's much more on the pace than usual.

Oh Canada!!

I'd love to see an all Canadian podium, but with Carpentier on the top. I really enjoyed watching him score maximum points last year on this track.

Good stuff from the Canadian guys, Tag must be delighted with his current form. Maybe this will be the weekend for his first win.

Hunter-Reay, Dominguez, Bourdais and Montiero are all well clear of their more experienced team-mates, which is impressive.

Apparently Carpentier was penalized for blocking Vasser and lost his fast lap, but his second-fastest lap was still good enough for P3.
