journo's - yamaha (rossi) tests.......

from www.formulaxtreme.com.au

Yamaha's First Test Session of 2004 To Be Very Controlled

Sepang Circuit, Malaysia 24/25/26 January 2004
The Fortuna Yamaha team have moved to control how the media will view Valentino Rossi's first testing session at Sepang in Janauary. Concerned that there might be a media frenzy or circus, Fortuna Yamaha's PR people have put in place some media rules of engagement.

From Fortuna Yamaha
Due to the inevitable attention that this test will create (the first time that Valentino Rossi will test the Yamaha YZR-M1) please note that Yamaha would like to give the media maximum opportunity for photography and information at the same time as not disturbing the riders and team in their workplace, as well as Suzuki who will be testing in Sepang on the same dates.

In order to do this, the Pit Lane and 'Paddock area' will be closed to the media, however the rest of the track and grandstands will be accessible for photographers and other media.

To ensure that they do get coverage for themselves and their sponsors, the teams PR minders have arranged 3 press conferences (controlled frenzy) so the journo's hunger for news will be satisfied.

yeahmate - why dont they wait til round 1 - i can wait.....
