Thanks - it feels sort of sparse with bigger than usual gaps in the summer - what odds it snows at Silverstone & Rockingham !

Slight worry in that BARC site shows March 13 as a Stowe circuit weekend....

My slight worry is the date!

Haven't got the bodyshell back from the paintshop yet and I do mean bodyshell, no engine, gearbox, electrics, glass, trim etc..

And it snowed at SUNBAC three years ago - memories of meeting a certain 10-tenths forum member lying in the sleet in order to fit a front air dam to his car....

Is the May meeting at Brands also the CSMA weekend Chris? If so you should be assured of a decent crowd if past years are anything to go by.

Will Mr Mallett make it home for that one????? Peter???

Thanks TimD yes and after all that I went off in the race, tore it off anyway, ran over it, and then forgot to go and get what was left of it! I remeber laying in the snow for a number of other reasons too (all mechanical). Sadly I doubt I'll be there but I hope to be out for the next round. Very sad to see no Thruxton - corporate considerations I believe !

I was also thinking it was sad to see Thruxton missing, but then I remembered I've only ever finished a race there once - failed the last three times.

And although Snetterton is not the most exciting track in the world, its the one I 've driven the most by far so a double header there will be fun.

My car is also still in bits but hopefully will be ready for March 13th. Lets hope it snows again, the last time it did was my best ever race and Grp 1 finish.

Hopefully all the class D boys will be out again - including apguy in his new RS1600i, Will in the Golf (missing last year) and maybe a new Golf driver too.

I believe it is Steve. A great meeting.

It is a shame to see Thruxton dropped. I have always gone well there and it's my local cicuit. I'm left feeling helpless when you hear that they find the Corp Hospitality thing more lucrative! I'm sure it is, but what about the grass roots clubbies?

So what is the difference between the Classic Saloons and Post Historics that your club runs and the cars of the Historic Racing Saloon Register? Also which car run in the Top Hat two driver races?

WK.

Generally the Historics run to the CSCC regs whereas the HSCC Saloons run to App J as applied in (I think) 1965) niether are Appendix K. However the CTCRC does include a class for App K. The Top Hat and the HSCC and the Classic and Historic Saloons qualify for Top Hat.

The Classics are pre 1960, the Historics are pre 1966 and the Post Historics are pre 1974. There are also Group one (pre 1983) and Classic Thunder which encompasses everything up to 1989 and goes from the old Group 5 salons (1965-1970), Group 2 and Group N.
